Made for international television Millennium Pipes is a unique insight into an extraordinary event that took place during August 2000, when 10,000 pipers and drummers, from all over the world, gathered for the biggest festival ever staged. Their aim was to raise a record breaking amount of money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Filmed against the regal backdrop of Edinburgh and presented by Isla St Clair, one of Scotland's leading broadcasters, this film combines pageantry, spectacle and humour. It commemorates the work of Marie Curie, discovers the people behind Millennium Pipes, and meets the celebrities and musicians who took part in this spectacular and historic occasion.
